Stuck, Scrolling, And Algorithms

19th December 2025, 7 42 p.m. Stuck in a traffic jam. This is norm. Since we're stuck, at some time we just scour around Instagram and Twitter to look at just random things, posts here and there.

Twitter Curation Versus Instagram Bait

Where algorithms feed me with things that it thinks I might be interested in. 85% of the time, it's pretty good. Well, at least on Twitter. But then On Instagram it's a very different story. It's short-term, shocking engagement bait here and there, copied content or stolen content. Just mechanically artificial ways to keep me using the app because it gives me like a shock of adrenaline, or endorphins rather, as opposed to someplace like Twitter where after years of curation, I can spend a healthy few minutes just looking at posts by people that I know have great taste and have common desires as me. So I get to read most of what they do and just a little update on what they've been doing, which is nice. Oh, if I want to give back to the world, if the world was a grand conversation, it should be something of the latter rather than the former. It should be something that's worth people tuning into, listening and reading, as opposed to trends bait for more um mechanically driven data sets I wish to pull or mine from the people who stumble into my content.

Content Or Craft

I guess that's part of the mechanics of calling the things that I make content as well. I mean, uh someone who does pottery doesn't call the pot that they make content, right? It's just a pod. I should be thinking about it the same way too. Every creation is precious. And if every creation is precious, they're worth bringing into the world. They are worth being crafted. And they should be built with the signature of their creator, me, to stand on their own two feet. Not just to follow a template by a trend. But rather something that is truly mine. My child. That's probably why I had quite a Twitter addiction quite a while ago, maybe a few years ago. Now not so much. Everybody is just so fascinating there. My mutuals, especially. Here and there you have these locus of interesting people, some with autistic tendencies, yet they dive deep into a discipline in such interesting, unpredictably fascinating ways that it makes me want to read up more about them. There is sonder in that pattern. And there is saunder in those actions that they chose to do. In Instagram, there is no saunder. We all know why. They're posting up on there. Because it gets the likes, it gets the comments. It's not a platform made for building your own signature. I don't think it is. I genuinely don't think it is. It's harder to make something timeless there. It doesn't mean that there is no timeless post or reel. It just means that when you want to think about leaving a mark on this very earth, you wouldn't be doing it on a 30-second video or a one-minute reel. You'd create

Platforms As Foundations, Not Homes

or craft it on a grander platform. Twitter isn't really a grand platform, but it could be the foundation for one. Instagram could be for one too. Maybe a photo that leads to a photo album or a photo shoot, a reel that leads to a film, an animation that leads to a job, a tweet that leads to a book. These are preliminary ways of articulation. If we bring this up into the umbrella of how people articulate nowadays in the modern age, they don't just write.

Herd Patterns And Shallow Engagement

They tweet, they write statuses, they do single sentence summaries, they rant, they complain in public groups and on Instagram. They, you know, pose seductively. They provoke. They make reels that are of a certain template. They follow the same song that everyone else is putting on their video. They follow the patterns of the herd in order to pull attention away from that group. But the paradox of that is once you join them, you become just the same. I'm already tired of trying to be the same as everybody else. Even when walking around the city, it always feels a bit isolating. Barely anybody wants to go in depth nowadays. We're too tired and stressed to do so. We're too tired to slow down. We're too stressed to question, to ask, to rebel. We just want to take care of ourselves. And sometimes, well, at least this day and age, taking care of yourself involves scrolling through reels for ten hours. I mean, I do that myself sometimes. Obviously, not a good thing to do. But here we are.

In preparation for the audio revival that I have for my name, where I wish to exist more in the oral realm than anywhere else. Oral first than the written word. I want it to be timeless as much as possible. It shouldn't be trend related. At most, the trends that I may follow would be the ones that resonate with my immediate beacon. The beacon with the people who resonate with my stuff. Trends that are parallel to my thought. Not this thing that was spoon-fed

Choosing Audio And Timeless Work

to me because someone told me that it's that it's going to make me viral. I'm too tired to go viral. I just want to belong. I want to belong with the people that I love. And the people that I love, they don't necessarily have to belong to the rest of the world. They are so full of love themselves that connection with them is abundant. And I enter into encounters with them rising up from before to after. They elevate me when they talk, when they share their opinions, when they express what fuels them, when they share their wildfire. It's beautiful. Really, really beautiful. What can I make for them?
